The Shopify connector is strictly read-only across all tiers. Cassian sees your product data, translations, and metafields but can’t change anything. Your store data is never modified.
This is the check that no other tool can run. Cassian compares what’s in your Shopify admin (prices, descriptions, images, translations) against what’s actually rendered on your storefront. Mismatches surface instantly.
Whether you use Shopify Markets, Langify, Weglot, or another translation solution, Cassian reads translation metafields directly from your admin. It compares translated text against the source language at the sentence level.

Every connector follows the same four-step pattern: authenticate, sync, monitor, compare. Connectors are optional — Cassian always works without them. They simply unlock deeper checks.
OAuth 2.0 flow. You authorise Cassian to access your store with the minimum required scopes. No passwords stored, no API keys to manage.
Cassian pulls your product catalogue, translations, and store configuration. First sync typically takes 10–30 seconds depending on catalogue size.
Automated scans run on schedule. Daily for Protector and above, twice weekly for Analyst. Every scan compares fresh data across your entire store.
